almaCAM Bend is a complete CAD/CAM solution dedicated to the bending process. Without interrupting the production, almaCAM Bend enables remote off-line programming of a wide variety of press brakes.

Using powerful, realistic and full 3D simulation tools, bending sequence definition, tool set-up and gauge positioning are automatically performed in a rapid, safe and reliable way. By effectively automating the manufacturing process, almaCAM Bend reduces production cycle time and improves productivity.

Functional description

Combining advanced and customizable features, almaCAM Bend automates the complete bending process, which includes: the bending sequence, the tool selection and positioning, the back gauge positioning and the press brake program generation.

The ultimate and key stage of the bending process with almaCAM Bend is the complete 3D simulation of every step of the press brake cycle, during which the software checks for the target accessibility and the risk of collisions.

Through a simple and intuitive user interface, almaCAM Bend is a flexible and innovative solution in terms of user interaction and control by offering two operating modes: the automatic and semi-automatic modes. In the automatic mode, almaCAM Bend automatically performs the required tasks, leaving however the possibility to the user of interacting at any time with the software for parameter tuning. In the semi-automatic mode, the user manually performs selected tasks and almaCAM Bend deduces the remaining tasks to be automatically performed.

The final purpose of almaCAM Bend is the NC program generation using the embedded post-processors. All the data generated by almaCAM Bend can be collected to generate customized and detailed production reports.
